Play Format

Tennis Play Format

  1. Round robin, in flighted brackets.
  2. No-ad scoring at SECOND deuce. Receiving team chooses from which side of the court they return the serve on the deciding point.
  3. Doubles matches only. If you need a partner, contact us.
  4. Best 2 out of 3 sets.
  5. Regular 7-point tiebreaker at 6–6 of each set, win by two.
  6. Third set, if needed, is a 10-point tiebreaker, win by two.
  7. Round robin play — each team plays all teams in its bracket. Final matches between teams from different groups possible.
  8. Guaranteed minimum of 4 matches per team. More matches possible.
  9. Groups are divided as close to player level as we can accommodate, using the USTA rating provided at sign-up. Teams are allocated by the higher-rated player on the team.
  10. 5-minute warm-up.
  11. All rules strictly enforced by tournament officials.

Tiebreakers for bracket placement

  1. Greatest number of wins.
  2. Head-to-head result if only two teams are tied.
  3. % of sets won.
  4. % of games won.
  5. Coin toss.

Pickleball Play Format

  1. FRIDAY: Round robin in flighted brackets with short sets to 7 points. All teams advance to Saturday, and final standings seed the Saturday bracket.
  2. SATURDAY: Single-elimination tournament with extended sets to 11 points.
  3. Doubles matches only. If you need a partner, contact us.
  4. Finals and 3rd-place matches: best 2 out of 3 sets.
  5. Guaranteed minimum of 8 sets per team. More possible.
  6. Groups divided as close to player level as we can accommodate, using ratings provided at sign-up. Teams allocated by the higher-rated player.
  7. 5-minute warm-up.
  8. All rules strictly enforced by tournament officials.
